The popular commentator said he’d cut off energy supplies to the EU if he were the president of Russia

Popular conservative political commentator Jordan Peterson has tried to get into Russian President Vladimir Putin’s head and predict how Russia’s conflict with the West in Ukraine will unfold. Peterson said that if he were the Russian president he would leave the EU without energy supplies in the winter.

“I know what I’d do in his shoes,” he said on the Piers Morgan Uncensored show on Thursday. “I’d wait till the first cold snap and shut off the taps.”

UK Launches Amazon, Microsoft and Google Cloud Competition Probe

UK communications regulator Ofcom announced on Thursday it will launch an investigation into cloud servers to find out if fair competition exists in the market where the three 'hyperscalers' - Amazon, Google and Microsoft - make up 81% of the revenue.

It also said it would look into messaging services such as WhatsApp, FaceTime and Zoom, as well as other digital markets such as smart speakers and TVs.

Enforcement action, policy changes or regulation could be brought in if experts find competition lacking when they conclude their probe within the next 12 months.

If Ukraine Attacks Referendum Territories, Russian Constitution Will Apply - Peskov

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Friday that Moscow wants the negotiation process with Ukraine to achieve its goals, but couldn’t foresee prerequisites for its resumption.

“With a positive decision at the referendums in the Donbass, the actions of parliament and the president of Russia would follow, documents would be signed, everything would be prompt,” he said.

“The issue of a possible loan amnesty for those called up as part of partial mobilization is being worked out by the government, although there is no clear position yet.”

On a possible attack on referendum territories by Kiev, Peskov explained that “in the case of accession, the Constitution of the Russian Federation will apply to them”.

Men Who Eat Meat Should be Banned from Sex – PETA

The German branch of Peta claims men who eat meat should be banned from having sex, citing a researched published last year in the scientific journal PLOS One.

The study apparently found that men emit 41 per cent more greenhouse gases than the female population with their eating habits.The animal rights group linked the figures to ‘toxic masculinity’.

“If you want to resolve the climate crisis, you have to reduce meat consumption, and that’s not going to happen so long as masculinity is constructed around meat,” said Daniel Cox, campaigns team leader for Peta Germany.

The activist added that a sex ban would be a decent toll on meat-eating men, "After all, every child not born saves 58.6 tons of CO2-equivalent per year," she said.
