The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday added a warning to the fact sheet for Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ.N) COVID-19 vaccine saying that data suggests there is an increased risk of a rare neurological disorder in the six weeks after inoculation.
In a letter to the company, the FDA classified the chances of getting Guillain-Barreฬ syndrome (GBS) after vaccination as being "very low." Still, it said J&J vaccine recipients should seek medical attention if they have symptoms including weakness or tingling sensations, difficulty walking or difficulty with facial movements.
Around 12.8 million people have received J&J's one-dose vaccine in the United States. The FDA said 100 preliminary reports of GBS in the vaccine recipients include 95 serious cases that required hospitalization and one reported death.

New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that an independent investigation found that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed current and former state employees with groping, kissing, nonconsensual touching and sexual comments.
One of the women that the investigation found Cuomo harassed with inappropriate touching and sexual comments was a state trooper assigned to protect him.
โThe independent investigation has concluded that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, and in doing so violated federal and state law,โ James said. โSpecifically, the investigation found that Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed current and former New York state employees by engaging in unwelcome and nonconsensual touching, and making numerous offensive comments of a suggestive and sexual nature that created a hostile work environment for women.โ
James added that Cuomo and his staff โretaliatedโ against one former employee โfor coming forward with her story.โ
Cuomo appointed James to investigate the allegations earlier this year after multiple women came forward to accused him of sexual harassment.
โThis investigation has revealed conduct that corrodes the very fabric and character of our state government, and shines light on injustice that can be present at the highest levels of government,โ James said. โBut none of this, none of this would have been illuminated if not for the heroic women who came forward. And I am inspired by all of the brave women who came forward. But more importantly, I believe them.โ
Joon Kim, one of two investigators selected by James to conduct the probe, said it found Cuomo committed โunlawful sex-based harassment.โ

Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan urged anyone experiencing fever, cold or flu symptoms to avoid socialising with others โ even if they have received the Covid-19 jab.
Dr Holohan asked the public not to drop its guard as he warned that vaccinated people can still transmit the virus.
