Germany Limits Public Buildings Heating to 19c amid Energy Crisis
German economy minister Robert Habeck has announced new regulations to save energy Friday - amid fears of shortages, as a result of a stand-off with Russia.
Public buildings will only be allowed to be heated to a maximum of 19 degrees Celsius, buildings and monuments will no longer be illuminated at night and advertising installations will not be illuminated, Habeck told SZ newspaper.
"More savings are also needed in the world of work," he added, without giving further details. An initial period of six months is planned for the cost-saving measures

Bolton Reacts to Alleged Assassination Plot
Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton said on Thursday that he was โembarrassedโ by a low-price tag that had allegedly been put on his head, as part of a would-be plot to assassinate him, planned by an Iranian national.
โI would have thought it would have been higher,โ he admitted. โBut I guess maybe it was the exchange rate problem or something,โ Bolton told CNNโs Wolf Blitzer.
On Wednesday, The US Justice Department announced criminal charges against Shahram Poursafi, a member of Iranโs Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, for allegedly orchestrating an assassination attempt against Bolton, a long-time anti-Iran hawk.
The department said that Poursafi attempted to pay someone $300,000 to murder Bolton on US soil.

Chinese brands now make up the majority of Russiaโs smartphone market, having pushed out the worldโs top sellers Apple and Samsung. (Kommersant)
According to the report, Xiaomi sold the most smartphones in Russia last month, with its share - together with the Poco sub-brand - reaching 42%. Realme held 17% of Russia's smartphone market.
Data showed that sales of the American and Korean brands in Russia have decreased by almost 90% since the introduction of Western sanctions. Sales could fall to 10% by the end of the year if parallel imports do not gain momentum, distributors predict.
