A San Francisco federal jury convicted a former Twitter manager of spying for Saudi Arabia and selling private user information to the kingdomโs government, in a ruling on Tuesday.
Ahmad Abouammo is a US-Lebanese dual national whose job was to help oversee relationships with journalists and celebrities in the Middle East and North Africa. He faced 11 charges, which included money laundering, fraud and working as an illegal agent of a foreign government, and was found guilty on six of them, according to a copy of the verdict.

UK Power Supply Under Threat โ Media
Norway may reduce electricity exports to the UK due to low water levels that threaten domestic hydroelectric power output, The Guardian newspaper reported Monday, citing Osloโs Petroleum and Energy Minister Terje Aasland.
Aasland reportedly told Norwegian parliament Monday that water levels in the countryโs reservoirs were falling below the seasonal average due to dry weather, and Norway should prioritise refilling water dams over power production and exports.
Electricity production in southern Norway has already dropped 18% compared to last year, while output last week in the southwest was the lowest so far this year, the minister said.
The situation is likely to affect the UK, which receives hydropower from Norway via the North Sea Link cable, able to carry up to 1.4 gigawatts of electricity, enough to power about 5% of UK households.

Killnet has apparently breached the US Defence giant's website - along with its subsidiaries and affiliates.
Lockheed is the supplier of HIMARS rocket systems being sent to Ukraine. The hacking group has published video showing a list of systems now out of order - including authorization cards for LM employees and some NASA services too.
The website is currently down.

Russia Summons UN Security Council over Nuclear Emergency
Moscow has called for an emergency session of the UN Security Council to discuss the situation at Ukraineโs Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, which has been the subject of regular shelling attacks.
Russia wants the chief of the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, to brief the council on the situation.
Moscow says Ukraine has been responsible for a series of drone attacks and artillery strikes at the nuclear site. The latest shelling was reported last weekend.
Kiev denies the allegations and claims that Russia has shelled the facility itself to discredit Ukraine. Kievโs National Security Council has also alleged that Moscow was using the power plant as a military base, keeping heavy weapons and personnel there.

Blame lies squarely with anti-Chinese forces in the US, the govt says, who work โto incite groups inside Taiwan to stir up troubleโ - and โLeft unchecked, [this effort] will continue to escalate tension โฆ, further disrupt China-US relations, and severely damage the interests of the US itself,โ they warn.
