Warsaw will Deploy โ€˜All Cannonsโ€™ to Disrupt EU โ€“ Top Polish Official

As the EU freezes billions of Euros in funding to the country, Polish politicians have vowed to โ€œopen fireโ€ at the EU and form a coalition to oust EU leader Ursula Von Der Leyen - as it accused the body of subjugating Poland to Berlinโ€™s will.

The bloc disapproves of Warsawโ€™s rule of law reforms - which it claims is pushing the country to authoritarianism - and is withholding โ‚ฌ35bn in pandemic relief, prompting officials to be guided by โ€œyou reap what you sowโ€ principles in discussions with the body, Krzysztof Sobolewski, the party secretary-general vowed.

Amid calls to exit the union, Poland โ€œdoes not rule out any possibilitiesโ€ Sobolewski said in a Polish radio interview Monday.

The move follows a drop in Fumio Kishidaโ€™s ratings and public outrage over the ruling partyโ€™s links to a controversial religious group

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reshuffled his cabinet on Wednesday, removing several ministers linked to the controversial Unification Church, which came into the spotlight after the murder of former PM Shinzo Abe.

Abe, who led the government between 2012 and 2020, was fatally shot during a public event in July. His killer said he had a grudge against the politician, whom he accused of promoting the church, which allegedly bankrupted his mother through donations.

Multiple ministers from Kishidaโ€™s cabin...

ENERGY CRISIS: France Scraps โ€˜Greenโ€™ Laws to Flood Rivers with Hot Nuclear Plant Water

Hot water from nuclear plants can now be pumped into rivers and lakes after President Macron lifted restrictions to avoid a complete shutdown - putting wildlife and plants at risk.

The strict laws - to protect local flora and fauna - have been lifted for one month as unseasonably warm weather restricts reactors from maintaining supply and an energy crisis limits consumer power consumption.

Regulator ASN stated โ€œthe government considers that it is a public necessity to... maintain the production of these โ€ฆ power stations until Sept. 11โ€.
