Warsaw will Deploy ‘All Cannons’ to Disrupt EU – Top Polish Official

As the EU freezes billions of Euros in funding to the country, Polish politicians have vowed to “open fire” at the EU and form a coalition to oust EU leader Ursula Von Der Leyen - as it accused the body of subjugating Poland to Berlin’s will.

The bloc disapproves of Warsaw’s rule of law reforms - which it claims is pushing the country to authoritarianism - and is withholding €35bn in pandemic relief, prompting officials to be guided by “you reap what you sow” principles in discussions with the body, Krzysztof Sobolewski, the party secretary-general vowed.

Amid calls to exit the union, Poland “does not rule out any possibilities” Sobolewski said in a Polish radio interview Monday.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida reshuffled his cabinet on Wednesday, removing several ministers linked to the controversial Unification Church, which came into the spotlight after the murder of former PM Shinzo Abe.

Abe, who led the government between 2012 and 2020, was fatally shot during a public event in July. His killer said he had a grudge against the politician, whom he accused of promoting the church, which allegedly bankrupted his mother through donations.
