Israeli State Terror in Action – Again!

On Friday, the scourge of Israeli apartheid state terror reared its ugly head again against long-suffering Gazans.
Along with its 2008-09 Cast Lead aggression and three other preemptive wars that followed, the IDF terror-bombed and shelled the Strip many times — murdering civilians, destroying vital infrastructure, attacking Gaza fishermen at sea, shooting Palestinian children for target practice.
On August 5, Israeli Yair Lapid regime terror-bombing killed at least 12 Strip residents, including a senior freedom-fighting Islamic Jihad official, injuring about 75 others, some severely, Lapid roaring:
His regime will continue terrorizing Gazans for “as long as it” takes to achieve his diabolical aims.
In response, the Al Haq human rights group condemned Israeli aggression, saying the following:
What began Friday “is the gravest escalation since Israel’s full scale military offensive on the Gaza Strip in May 2021, killing 240 Palestinians, including 151 civilians.”
In summer 2014, Israel’s previous aggression on the Strip, the Netanyahu regime’s Operation Protective Edge killed 2,192 Palestinians, including 524 children.
After creation of the Jewish state in May 1948 on stolen Palestinian land, its ruling regimes committed repeated crimes of war, against humanity and related atrocities on their long-suffering people.
Yet for the past 74 years, accountability never followed.
The US-dominated West — and world community overall — largely turns a blind eye and deaf ear to the worst of Israeli crimes, and all others.
Israel’s latest aggression is all about wanting to quash legitimate “resistance to its illegal colonial settlement expansionism, de facto and de jure annexations, while further entrenching its institutionalized regime of systematic racial discrimination and oppression on both sides of the Green Line,” Al Haq stressed.
It followed the illegal arrest of Islamic Jihad (IJ) leader, Sheikh Bassam Al-Saadi, on August 1.
Since then, IJ’s self-defense military wing, Saraya Al-Quds, has been on high alert.
Al-Haq “documented the heavy presence of military aircraft in the skies” over Gaza for the past 5 days.
The Lapid regime hardened its Gaza blockade by closing all crossings to the Strip.
Illegal blockade and closure prevents free movement of goods and people, Al Haq stressing:
The Strip’s 2 million people face what may become “a humanitarian disaster (from Israel’s) deliberate imposition of living conditions denying the right to life, and prohibited as inhuman acts as defined by the 1973 Apartheid Convention under Article 2(a)(i), 2(a)(i) and 2(b).”
IDF terror-bombing killed al-Quds Brigades commander, Taysir al-Jabari.
Murdered civilians include 5-year-old Alaa Qaddoum and her father.
According to family member, Mohammad Abu Jabal:
Alaa’s mother Rasha “is in great shock.”
“She lost her daughter and husband in a blink of an eye and left behind three children. We are all shocked.”
“What is the fault of an innocent five-year-old girl (and her father) to be killed in this way?”
According to a Gaza eye-witness to Israel’s latest state terror against its long-suffering people, his clothing blood-stained:
“(A) huge explosion hit the tower (where) we live. We ran away.”
“The sound was massive. We were very shocked as the place is full of civilians.”
“I saw many casualties (being) evacuated.”
Gaza-based activist, Rana Shubair, lives in the al-Remal neighborhood terror-bombed by IDF warplanes.
We heard “four to five loud bangs,” she said, adding:
“I was asleep and found myself waking up running, wondering what happened.”
“There was panic in the area, people running.”

US senators battle over who can get pregnant
RT World News (RSS)
All Democrats voted in unison against an amendment defining pregnancy as occurring only in biological women
US Senate Republicans were fighting a losing battle in trying to block passage of President Joe Biden’s $740 billion climate, tax and health care bill, but they tried to score some ideological points by introducing an amendment acknowledging that only biological women can get pregnant.
It turns out the GOP lost that fight, too, as every Senate Democrat voted in unison on Sunday to reject the provision limiting the federal government’s pregnancy programs to women. The party-line vote in the evenly divided Senate was...

Head of German parliamentary party names West’s ‘mistake’ in Ukraine
RT World News (RSS)
Alice Weidel, who leads the right-wing AFD in the Bundestag, has said Kiev should have been encouraged to become a neutral state
Alice Weidel, the head of Germany’s right-wing Alternative for Germany (AFD) party, has named what she believes to be the West’s mistake with respect to Ukraine. According to the politician, Kiev’s allies should have fostered an image for the Eastern European nation as a neutral state, instead of dragging it into NATO and the EU.
