โ€ŠPaths of Glory
Strategic Culture Foundation (RSS)

The tragedy is that the grandstanding of Pelosi and the avarice of Hunter Biden and Clown Prince Zelensky drags countless millions of Faithful Hussars into warโ€™s abyss.

If there is any glory in war, it belongs not to Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden or their Zelensky puppet but to nobler souls like August Landmesser, Alina Lipp, ร‰dith Piaf, Princess Alice of Battenberg, Princess Anni-Frid Reuss (Dowager Countess of Plauen aka Anni-Frid Lyngstad), Graham Greeneโ€™s anonymous whisky priest, Hugh Thompson Jnr, Alexander Prokhorenko , Khaled al Asaad, Seymour Hersh, Julian Assange and all like them.

Who could not but love ร‰dith Piaf, Franceโ€™s little sparrow, whose sight was saved by her grandmotherโ€™s prostitutes pooling their resources to accompany her on a pilgrimage honouring Saint Thรฉrรจse of Lisieux, that angel who sang for German soldiers in French brothels during the War, but who was deservedly given Parisโ€™ largest ever funeral? And Abbaโ€™s Anni-Frid Lyngstad, now known as Princess Anni-Frid Reuss, who had a horrific Norwegian childhood because her German father had served in Hitlerโ€™s Wehrmacht.

And Princess Alice, Queen Elizabethโ€™s mother in law, who sheltered Jews during the Greek Occupation and who is deservedly buried in Jerusalemโ€™s Russian Cathedral of Mary Magdalene.

And letโ€™s not forget the warriors, heroes like Russiaโ€™s Alexander Prohorenko who, near to where Khaled al Asaad was likewise martyred for the same holy cause, called in an air strike on himself to save the honor of his flag and his country. And Americaโ€™s Hugh Thompson Jnr, who exposed Americaโ€™s My Lai war crime and who was relentlessly persecuted by his compatriots as a consequence of him being human.

And then there is Seymour Hersh, one of a tiny band of journalistic brothers with a conscience. And August Landmesser, whose pure, untarnished love for his Jewish betrothed saw him die fighting in a Wehrmacht penal battalion.

And so many more, who may have pondered Hamletโ€™s famous soliloquy of โ€œWhether โ€™tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?โ€

These little, all but forgotten ones, who lived, loved, suffered and died are historyโ€™s lodestars, historyโ€™s heroes who are remembered most by those blessed to have loved them in life, as well as in death.

Though theirs is indeed, the kingdom,...

โ€ŠNew Media Are as Intertwined With Imperial Power as Old Media
Strategic Culture Foundation (RSS)

By Caitlin JOHNSTONE

Alan MacLeod has a new article out with Mintpress News showing how most of the supposedly independent โ€œfact-checkingโ€ organizations which Facebook has partnered with to police the information people are allowed to see on the platform about the war in Ukraine are, in fact, funded by the United States government.

โ€œMost of the fact-checking organizations Facebook has partnered with to monitor and regulate information about Ukraine are directly funded by the U.S. government, either through the U.S. Embassy or via the notorious National Endowment for Democracy (NED),โ€ MacLeod writes.

NED is indeed notorious because, as MacLeod explains, it was set up to do overtly many of the operations which the CIA used to perform covertly, like circulating propaganda in empire-targeted nations, funding foreign uprisings, and facilitating the 2014 coup in Ukraine which set in motion the events that would eventually lead to Russiaโ€™s invasion of the nation this past February.

Macleod shows how US government money is funneled into Facebookโ€™s โ€œfact-checking organizationsโ€ through NED and other channels, the result being a US government-funded narrative management operation in a social media platform which has almost three billion active users.

This article is just the latest installment in a series of pieces MacLeod has been putting out with Mintpress over the past few months documenting the many strings you can see between major Silicon Valley platforms and the US-centralized empire, which are becoming clearer and more numerous by the year.

Last month MacLeod released a report on the many veterans of the CIA and other branches of the US intelligence cartel who are being hired to high-level positions within Facebookโ€™s parent company Meta which help determine what kinds of information get visibility on the companyโ€™s social media platforms. Metaโ€™s โ€œsenior product policy manager for misinformationโ€ was hired straight out of the Central Intelligence Agency in 2019 and now helps Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp sort out information from misinformation.

Last month MacLeod also put out an article on the many CIA veterans who have been hired to help Google decide what information gets seen in its searches and on Google-owned platforms like YouTube. Google is easily the single most influential corporation on earth when it comes to public access to information.

In June MacLeod penned an article titled โ€œThe Federal Bureau of Tweets: Twitter is Hiring an Alarming Number of FBI Agents,โ€ reporting that โ€œthe social media giant has, in recent years, recruited dozens of individuals from the national security state to work in the fields of security, trust, safety and content.โ€

โ€ŠApologizing for the Gospel

Liberals demand not only that Christians apologize for individual evils, but the very message of Christianity itself.

By Casey CHALK

For many Canadians, Pope Francisโ€™s recent apology for the treatment of some indigenous persons by those representing the Catholic Church was not enough. Murray Sinclair, the lawyer who chaired Canadaโ€™s Truth and Reconciliation Commission declared: โ€œIt was more than the work of a few bad actors โ€” this was a concerted institutional effort to remove children from their families and cultures, all in the name of Christian supremacy,โ€ reported the Washington Post.

That opinion appears to be the default of the entire commission. The American Conservativeโ€™s Declan Leary observed in an article at The Lamp earlier this year that โ€œthe commission seems to oppose evangelism as a matter of principle.โ€

Would that this opinion were limited to government bureaucrats of our northern neighbor. Yet this is an era of reappraising everything about our Western civilizational inheritance. The Bureau of Indian Affairsโ€™ May 2022 โ€œFederal Indian Boarding School Initiative Investigative Report,โ€ which Helen Andrews cites in her recent TAC article on Indian boarding schools, speaks disparagingly of missionary activities among American Indians, including encouraging them to abandon their tribal religious beliefs in favor of Christianity. The Australian government has issued similar reports criticizing missions down under as being โ€œdesigned to erase peoplesโ€™ cultural identity.โ€

Similar charges are leveled at Christian missionaries wherever they performed their work. โ€œTo send missionaries to Africa and Asia to convert the native people to Christianity is religious colonialism,โ€ say even many ChristiansAcademics and journalists for years have discussed the resurgence of paganism among Europeans and people of European ancestry, often framed as a repudiation of the imperialist imposition of Christianity upon pagan peoples.

Every anti-Christian, pro-pagan example offered employs the same general talking points: narrow-minded Christian missionaries since the Dark Ages have upended traditional beliefs and practices, coercing indigenous peoples to abandon their pluralist worldview in favor of the coercive monolith that is institutionalized, doctrinally intolerant and constrained Christianity. โ€œPagan beliefs differ, but many uphold the pluralistic view that there are many valid religious paths,โ€ explains the Pluralism Project at Harvard University. It continues: โ€œToday, many people are drawn to Paganism for its affirmation of female, LGBT, and queer people.โ€

Such comments are telling. For the language of pluralism and tolerance, especially those in supposedly oppressed victim categories, cou...

Nancy Pelosiโ€™s Taiwan trip may have helped scupper Appleโ€™s plans for new smartphone release

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosiโ€™s (D-California) controversial visit to Taiwan may have negative ramifications for Americaโ€™s most valuable company, as new labeling restrictions imposed by Beijing could delay the introduction of Appleโ€™s latest smartphone, the iPhone 14. The possible delay was first reported by the website GSMArena.

It turns out that iPhones are made with chips supplied by Taiwanese semiconductor giant TSMC, and many of the handsets are assembled in China by another Taiwanese partner, Pegatron. In the wake of...

Colombiaโ€™s first leftist president will bring historic change, if the US lets him
RT World News (RSS)

Colombia is the latest Latin American country to turn from the right, and possibly stand up to Washington, with the inauguration of Gustavo Petro

Itโ€™s a historic day in Colombia, as the country inaugurates former guerrilla Gustavo Petro as its first leftist president, and Francia Marquez as its first vice president of African descent. This was unthinkable not long ago, and before this unlikely team now lie the combined challenges of standing up to US domination and fixing decades of social injustice.

The last time it appeared Colombia would have a leftist president was in 1948 with the candidacy...

Rockets continued to fly as news of an imminent ceasefire circulated

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) confirmed on Sunday that it had reached a ceasefire deal with Israel, the Times of Israel reported. Israel reportedly agreed to the Egyptian-brokered deal earlier in the afternoon, after three days of airstrikes on Gaza.

The militant group said that the ceasefire would come into effect at 11:30pm local time. Egyptian sources told Reuters earlier in the afternoon that the Israeli side had agreed to a truce, but neither the Israeli government or military has confirmed this.

Earlier on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lap...

A survey has shown that nearly seven in 10 US adults believe the economy is getting worse, contrary to President Bidenโ€™s claims

Americans are more pessimistic about the US economy than at any time since the global financial crisis of 2008, suggesting that President Joe Biden has failed to convince voters that conditions are improving under his leadership, a new poll has revealed.

Just 12% of Americans believe the nationโ€™s economy is โ€˜getting betterโ€™, compared with 69% who see it โ€˜getting worseโ€™, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll...

Leadership of Gazaโ€™s Islamic Jihad eliminated โ€“ Israel

The leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihadโ€™s (PIJ) Southern Gaza division, Khaled Mansour, was killed last night, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Sunday. This comes two days the militant groupโ€™s northern divisionโ€™s head, Taysir al-Jabari, was taken out. According to the Israeli military, the death of Mansour completes the neutralization of the whole PIJ leadership.

In a Twitter post, the Israeli military said that Mansour, who was โ€œresponsible for dozens of terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers,โ€ was targeted and killed by IDF aircraft.

Mansourโ€™s death was later confirmed by the Islamic Jihad, which said in a statement quoted by the media that it mourns a fighter who โ€œwas martyred as a result of an Israeli air strike yesterday.โ€

Russia takes out 45,000 tons of NATO ammo โ€“ MoD

he Russian military has taken out a depot in southern Ukraine that stored NATO-supplied ammunition, the Defense Ministry claimed on Sunday.

"In the Voznesensk area of the Nikolaev region an arsenal that stored 45,000 tons of ammunition recently supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces by NATO countries has been destroyed,โ€ the ministry stated, adding that Russian forces eliminated five other ammo depots.

Meanwhile, the Russian army conducted strikes on the deployment point of units of Ukraine's 72nd mechanized brigade at an agricultural facility in the Donetsk Peopleโ€™s Republic city of Artemovsk, wiping out up to 130 soldiers and eight transport and armored vehicles, the ministryโ€™s statement read.
