Russian Crude Bounces Back - Traders

Demand from China and India and easing concerns over sanctions have fuelled a staggering recovery in Russian crude oil prices from historic lows of $20 per barrel in March.

The buyers are finding Russian crude cheaper and of similar quality to competition from the Middle East and two cargoes are already planned for loading in September and October.

India - the worldโ€™s no.3 importer - became Russiaโ€™s biggest buyer by seaborne volume in July, purchasing a record 29.5mn barrels, while China received an all-time high in June.
