⚡️Japanese Jets Alerted To Chinese Drones

Japan Self-Defense Force fighter jets were alerted by two Chinese drones flying over the Sakishima Islands in southern Okinawa Prefecture, the Yomiuri newspaper reported.

A reconnaissance drone and a kamikaze drone entered the Pacific Ocean near the Sakishima Islands from the East China Sea at different times, but moved along almost the same route.

Germany Risks Facing “Winter of Anger” – media

Germany’s federal and regional governments are bracing for a potential wave of protests that might come this autumn or winter, German ARD and RBB broadcasters reported this week.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s cabinet apparently fears that rising food and energy prices could lead to social unrest and be exploited by various “radical” movements, the outlets add.

According to the media, the protests might be similar to the ones Germany experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic, when the government faced resistance to its lockdown and vaccination policies. According to ARD’s Tagesschau news service, some groups have already sought to organize protests in Berlin under the slogans “Revolt,” “Uprising,” and “Civil War.”

Russian Investigative Committee personnel revealed a direct hit from a Ukrainian MLRS "Grad" rocket on the maternity ward of hospital No. 17 of the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk.

According to preliminary data from the investigators, 10 people were injured, including one child.

North Korea Claims Total Recovery From Pandemic Fever

North Korea said on Friday that all of its 4.77mn fever patients have recovered, with no new cases reported since July 30, although still hasn’t confirmed how many tested positive for Covid.

Notably, in the rare statement on the matter, Pyongyang did not announce the end of the pandemic, but rather that the situation had “stabilized”.

Europe Should Thank Turkey For Steady Gas - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed grain exports, gas and combatting terrorism with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan at their meeting in Sochi on Friday.

▪️Putin thanked Erdogan for Turkey's contribution to resolving the issue of Ukrainian grain export.

▪️The TurkStream natural gas pipeline is working without issues and is among the most important routes for delivering Russian gas to Europe, Putin said

▪️Erdogan told Putin they have to open a new chapter in cooperation: "Combatting terrorism in the region is important for us." The agenda will also include the Syrian issue, he added

▪️Russia and Turkey will hopefully sign a memorandum on the development of economic and trade relations, Putin said.

China has dispatched dozens of warplanes and naval vessels close to Taiwan’s shores, the island’s authorities have said amid the flare-up of tensions in the region.

Beijing sent 68 aircraft and 13 ships near the island on Friday, some of which crossed the median line dividing the Taiwan Strait, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry said, adding that the move “jeopardized the status quo of the strait.”
