Macron Tells Iran To Make ‘Clear Choice’

French President Emmanuel Macron held a lengthy phone conversation with Iran’s Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday, revolving around the efforts to revive a crucial nuclear agreement with the Islamic Republic.

The call lasted for nearly two hours and came on the heels of a high profile meeting between the leaders of Iran, Turkey and Russia earlier this week.

According to Macron’s office, the French leader bluntly “expressed his disappointment at the lack of progress and insisted to President Raisi that a clear choice must be made to conclude the agreement and return to the implementation of its nuclear commitments.”

Some Western Counterparts Attempted To Postpone Grain Issue - Lavrov

Speaking at a press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov said some Western countries attempted only to solve the Ukrainian grain issue - blocking out Russia.

That’s even though Russia delivers much more grain to the foreign markets, the foreign minister added.
