US Force โ€œLast Resortโ€ To Stop Iran Nukes - Biden

As US President Joe Biden launched his delicate middle east tour on Wednesday, he admitted military force was an option โ€œas a last resortโ€ when confronting Iran, despite claiming commitment to reviving the 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran.

โ€œI think it was a giant mistake for the previous president to get out of the deal,โ€ said Biden. "The only thing worse than the Iran which exists now is an Iran with nuclear weapons and if we can return to the deal, we can hold them tight."

His comments follow Israeli PM Yair Lapidโ€™s insistence that Jerusalem would not stand by and allow Iran to develop plans to attack Israel.

Israel Threatens Iran - Free World Will Use Force

Israeli PM Yair Lapid threatened Iran with force if they continue to develop their nuclear capabilities in his press conference after meeting Joe Biden on Thursday.

โ€œWords will not stop them. Diplomacy will not stop them. The only thing that will stop Iran is knowing if they continue to develop their nuclear program, the free world will use force. The only way to stop them is to put a credible military threat on the table.โ€

WHO Demands Return of Covid Masks

With cases of Covid-19 trending upward globally, World Health Organization Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called on Tuesday for authorities to bring back masking, ventilation, and social distancing.

Speaking during a weekly briefing, Tedros stated that โ€œthe virus is running freely, and countries are not effectively managing the disease.โ€ With the WHO concluding last week that the virus remains a โ€˜Public Health Emergency of International Concernโ€™, Tedros asserted that the pandemic was โ€œnowhere near over.โ€

Mask mandates and social distancing requirements were largely abandoned earlier this year, although some countries โ€“ among them China and South Korea โ€“ still require face masks in most public settings.

Major Crypto Lender Files for Bankruptcy Amid Token Prices Dip

Hacker Convicted Over Largest Data Theft in CIA History

A former CIA software engineer has been convicted on all nine counts - including stealing and transmitting classified information as well as obstruction of justice - in a New York court of leaking sensitive data to Wikileaks in what is believed to be the largest breach in the agencyโ€™s history to date.

Joshua Schulte had worked at the CIAโ€™s Center for Cyber Intelligence, creating cyber tools capable of secretly grabbing data from computers, but prosecutors claimed he was not getting on well with some of his colleagues and management.

To add insult to injury, a contractor was reportedly hired to develop a cyber tool similar to one Schulte had been building. He then allegedly tried to erase any traces of him accessing the computers before quitting the CIA in 2016.

Ukrainian Militants Forced Mothers and Newborns Out Of Maternity Wards โ€“ Russian MOD

The Ukrainian military has been accused by the Russian Defence Ministry of throwing mothers and their newborn babies out of maternity hospitals in the southern Odessa Region. Wednesday's statement added that medical staff who tried to stop them were allegedly assaulted.

Mikhail Mizintsev, the head of Russiaโ€™s National Defense Control Center, added that the Ukrainian forces set up barracks, firing positions, and ammunition depots in a clinic in the DPR city of Ugledar, with heavy weaponry, artillery, and mortars stationed nearby.

Mizintsev urged international organizations, including the World Health Organization, to influence Kiev to put an end to the use of medical facilities for military purposes.
