Murder Charge Outrage In NYC Bodega Fatal Stabbing
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg is facing serious pressure to drop murder charges against a 61-year-old NYC bodega worker who stabbed an attacker to death after meeting with various bodega advocates.
One of the advocates claimed after the meeting with Bragg that they were “very hopeful” the case would be dropped.
Jose Alba reportedly stabbed Austin Simon in the neck and torso at least five times after Simon’s girlfriend had told Alba "my n****r is gonna come down here right now and f**k you up" when her payment for a snack for her daughter was declined.
New York law dictates deadly force can only be used if a defendant “reasonably believes” their attacker is about to use deadly force themselves.
