Boston Dynamics’ Spot will clear shells and munitions from around Kiev, according to Foreign Policy report

The US Army has reportedly agreed to provide a robotic dog to help a charity clean up the battlefields in areas around Kiev.

HALO Trust, a US-based demining organization which has received multiple government contracts to work in Ukraine, will reportedly use Spot – Boston Dynamics' robot dog – to remove mines, mortar shells and unexploded munitions in formerly Russian-controlled areas near the capital Kiev, according to the group’s executive director Chris Whatley, who spoke to Foreign Policy.

Amid discontent at home, Mario Draghi declared that “Putin must not win”

Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi declared on Monday that European support for Ukraine must continue, and that democracy itself would be imperiled if Kiev’s forces lose to Russia. 

“If Ukraine loses, it will be more difficult to maintain that democracy is an effective model of government,” Draghi stated during a virtual meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Group of Seven (G7) leaders in Germany.
