Russian Defense Minister Inspects Troops Fighting in Ukraine

Sergey Shoigu conducted an inspection of the troops involved in the special military operation in Ukraine and presented state awards to the most distinguished servicemen, the ministry said.

Commanders reported to the minister on the situation on the ground, with Shoigu paying special attention to the โ€œorganization of comprehensive support for the military action, as well as to creation of all necessary living conditions for Russian military personnel at temporary deployment points.โ€

โ€œAlso, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, presented state awards: the Gold Star medal of the Hero of the Russian Federation and the Order of Courage to Russian servicemen who showed heroism.
