US Scientists' Breakthrough On Exercise Pill - Could Prevent Osteoporosis, Heart Disease

Researchers from Stanford, Baylor and other US universities say they are one step closer to solving exercise problems after isolating the molecule in blood that curbs appetite and obesity - in mice.

The scientists published their research to explain efforts to help those unable to exercise, but one Stanford professor believes it may be a path to slow down osteoporosis, heart disease and other conditions.

Tesla to Slash 10% of Salaried Workforce

CEO Elon Musk announced Tuesday that Tesla will be cutting its salaried workforce by 10% over the next 3 months.

The cuts will only apply to employees on a salary, not hourly workers – Musk reportedly stating the layoffs would “not apply to anyone actually building cars, battery packs or installing solar,” according to a report by auto-focused news website Electrek.

Musk was speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum organized by Bloomberg, he also warned that a recession in the US was likely.

Iconic HK Floating Restaurant Sinks

Just a week after being towed away from Hong Kong, the iconic Jumbo Floating Restaurant began leaking amidst "adverse weather" on Saturday before capsizing in 1000m-deep waters in the South China Sea on Sunday.

Nobody was injured in the incident but the management company said it was impossible to salvage the 80m-long, six-story vessel.

Previous patrons during its 40-year history include Tom Cruise and Queen Elizabeth II.
