Scholz hits back at weapons complaints
RT World News (RSS)

Not every statement on the arming of Ukraine should be taken at face value, the German chancellor has said

Germany is providing the kind of weapon systems to Ukraine that it actually needs to fight Russia, so claims to the contrary should not be believed, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with the newspaper Munchner Merkur, published in full on Tuesday.

When asked about the complaints of Ukrainian officials that Germany has not delivered on its promises of weapon shipments to Kiev, Scholz said โ€œa lot of what is being said here at home [about the issue] is simply not true.โ€...

The Federal Bureau of Tweets: Twitter Is Hiring an Alarming Number of FBI Agents
MintPress News (RSS)

SAN FRANCISCO โ€“ Twitter has been on a recruitment drive of late, hiring a host of former feds and spies. Studying a number of employment and recruitment websites, MintPress has ascertained that the social media giant has, in recent years, recruited dozens of individuals from the national security state to work in the fields of security, trust, safety and content.

Chief amongst these is the Federal Bureau of Investigations. The FBI is generally known as a domestic security and intelligence force. However, it has recently expanded its remit into cyberspace. โ€œThe FBIโ€™s investigative authority is the broadest of all federal law enforcement...

The Peopleโ€™s Summit: What the Summit of the Americas Might Have Been if America Was Not โ€œExceptionalโ€
MintPress News (RSS)

LOS ANGELES โ€“ Earlier this month, there were two summits in Los Angeles: the Summit of the Americas, hosted by the U.S. State Department; and the Peopleโ€™s Summit hosted by U.S. and international activist organizations. The two summits were held in the same city at the same time but could not otherwise be more different.

Begun in 1994, in the heyday of U.S. international dominance, the Summit of the Americas is officially a function of the Organization of American States. It is meant to coordinate and consolidate U.S. economic, political and cultural interests. The first summit, hel...

British โ€œWatchdogโ€ Journalists Unmasked as Lap Dogs for the Security State
MintPress News (RSS)

LONDON โ€“ Events of the past few days suggest British journalism โ€“ the so-called Fourth Estate โ€“ is not what it purports to be: a watchdog monitoring the centers of state power. It is quite the opposite.

The pretensions of the establishment media took a severe battering this month as the defamation trial of Guardian columnist Carole Cadwalladr reached its conclusion and the hacked emails of Paul Mason, a long-time stalwart of the BBC, Channel 4 and the Guardian, were published online.

Both of these celebrated journalists have found themselves outed as recruits โ€“ in their differing ways โ€“ to a covert infor...

Israel Unveils US-Led Regional Air Defense Alliance

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has revealed cooperation with the Pentagon over a regional air defense partnership with US-aligned Arab states which has allegedly already thwarted Iranian attacks.

Gantz didnโ€™t specify which countries were involved in the agreement according to the official released transcript, but hinted that it would be boosted upon President Bidenโ€™s visit in July.

After his arrival in Israel, Biden will meet Arab leaders in Saudi Arabia, which has also reportedly come under attacks from Tehran in recent years.

The former president claims that the Ukraine conflict would never have happened on his watch

Former US President Donald Trump told Newsmax on Monday that President Joe Biden has eviscerated the national economy and dragged the country toward a โ€œworld warโ€ over Ukraine.

Trump also added that he โ€œdoesnโ€™t know of anythingโ€ that would stop him running for office again in 2024.

โ€œOur country is in a lot of trouble,โ€ Trump told Newsmax host Eric Bolling. "Our country has never been like this.โ€ ...

Populists have scored big against globalists in the legislative election

If French President Emmanuel Macron thought that his re-election this past May against right-wing populist challenger Marine Le Pen was a license to keep forging ahead with a globalist agenda, it turns out that he was badly miscalculated. While French voters may have been reluctant to hand executive control over to Le Pen, they seized the opportunity to recalibrate the balance of power away from Macronโ€™s globalist establishment status quo with last weekendโ€™s parliamentary elections.

Although Macronโ€™s centrist Together coalition retained the...
