Germany Producer Prices Highest Since 1949

Official data released Monday shows that Germanyโ€™s producer costs rocketed 33.6% year-on-year last month, the sharpest rise since records began in 1949.

Even excluding energy, German producer prices rose 16.5% in May over last year, with the consumer price inflation peak not yet reached according to the Federal Statistics Office.
