Hungarian PM Likens Anti-Russia Sanctions to Nuclear Bomb

Viktor Orban has challenged harsh EU sanctions placed on Russia, comparing the measures to a nuclear bomb that could backfire, sparking a food crisis and mass migration in Europe itself.

During a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic Saturday Orban made it clear that Budapest does not agree with Brusselsโ€™ anti-Russia sanctions.

He warned of a โ€œhard winterโ€ ahead, as โ€œwe have galloping inflation, rising prices, famine is breaking out in many parts of the world, and we have a war in Ukraine.โ€

Syria Demands US Pay for Air Strike Victims

Syriaโ€™s permanent mission to the UN stated the US must withdraw its troops from the country and pay reparations for the deaths of dozens of civilians in a 2019 airstrike in Baghuz.

The Pentagon recently released a report which claimed the March 18 strike reportedly targeting an ISIS encampment, did not violate the rules of engagement or laws of war.

Damascus has categorically rejected that assessment, declaring its conclusions โ€œan admission of negligence that calls for accountability.โ€

Hillary Clinton Ordered Leak of Bogus โ€˜Russiagateโ€™ Story to Press, Ex-Aide Tells Court

Fmr Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook told a federal court Friday that in 2016, Hillary approved a leaked story to the media claiming the Trump Organization had been in contact with Russiaโ€™s Alfa-Bank.

Mook alleges campaign lawyer Marc Elias approached him claiming to have proof that servers connected with Alfa-Bank exchanged data with ones belonging to the Trump Organization.

Mook said that nobody on the campaign was โ€œtotally confidentโ€ in the information, and that he asked Clinton whether he should release it to the media. โ€œShe agreed,โ€ he said, and the information was released.

The initiatives include helping police and officials raise awareness of hate crimes, and setting up hotlines to report such incidents, US Attorney General Merrick Garland said at a DoJ-hosted event.
