TV crew recounts surviving shelling in DPR

A camera crew, including Ruptly stringer Viktor Miroshnikov and RT journalists Valentin Gorshenin and Vladimir Batalin, were hit by a shelling at a petrol station near Dokuchaevsk, in Donetsk People's Republic on Friday.

"Once I landed, I realised that it was not a blast wave (as the blast wave doesn't come pointed), so I realised that a shell had hit me", Miroshnikov said. The reporter Valentin Gorshenin 'reacted immediately' and provided the first aid to the injured crew members.

Another man who was at the petrol station died immediately. "Shrapnel hit in the jaw and came out the other side. Literally few seconds passed and he died", the reporter said.

EU Plans $9.5BN Ukraine Loan

Brussels is reportedly planning to send $9.5 billion in loans to Kiev to help it pay urgent bills, alongside a new debt plan and redirected seized assets. (Bloomberg)

Turkey Issues Demands as Ankara Threatens Blocking Finland & Swedenโ€™s NATO Bids

Turkeyโ€™s list of demands for NATO and its prospective members Finland and Sweden includes the removal of sanctions over its purchase of S-400 missile defense systems from Russia, as well as re-inclusion in the F-35 advanced aircraft program. (Bloomberg citing Turkish officials)

Finland and Sweden officially announced their intention to join NATO this week on the back of Russia's military offensive. To make accession possible, all bloc members have to unanimously support their bids.

Turkey, however, said it would not back Helsinki and Stockholm because they do not have โ€œa clear unequivocal stanceโ€ against the Kurdistan Workersโ€™ Party and the Revolutionary Peopleโ€™s Liberation Front - groups that Ankara considers terrorist organizations.
