Russia Nationalizes Assets of French Car Manufacturer

The Russian govt is taking ownership of Renault's local assets, after the company announced it's suspending all operations in the country.

"The agreements signed provide for the transfer of Renault Russia shares to the city of Moscow and AvtoVAZ shares to the government represented by [federal state unitary enterprise] NAMI", the ministry said on Telegram.

The move will make the Russian capital the sole owner of Renault Russia, while local carmaker AvtoVAZ, previously tied with the French group, will now have 67,69% of its shares held by the government.

⚡️NATO Oversteps Stated Mission — Putin

Vladimir Putin has said the alliance has ventured beyond the geography presumed by its own stated mission, attempting to exert its influence further East.

The Russian President also called NATO’s enlargement an ‘artificial’ issue, which leads to further global tensions, instead of any peaceful ends.

Putin also reiterated the claim that Moscow has evidence alleging the US and Ukraine might have broken international law with the development of biological weapons “right on our border."
