Germany: Ministers Propose Highway Speed Limit to Lower Fuel Use
Environment officials say it could reduce Germanyโs dependence on oil imports, but some have been skeptical.
However, a motorway speed limit was reportedly decided on unanimously and justified by a need to save energy.
The speed limit would be โan inexpensive, quickly implementable and immediately effective measureโ to lower Germanyโs fuel consumption and the need to import oil from abroad, the joint statement adopted by ministers said.

Finland has officially announced its intention of joining the NATO military alliance, the government said on Sunday. Is the takeover deal on the rocks? The platform has accused Elon Musk of publishing the details of a study into into the number of bots on Twitter.
โTwitter lawyers just called to complain that I violated their non-disclosure agreement by saying that the sample size for checking for bots is 100! It really happened."
Musk previously stated that his team would check a sample of 100 subscribers for fake accounts. The takeover deal was suspended to find out if the number of bots tally with Twitterโs own reporting.
