ICYMI: Saudi Mall Engulfed In Massive Fire

Civil Defense teams have been battling a huge blaze that broke out at the Mall of Dhahran in Saudi Arabia. Footage showed smoke billowing out of its windows.

Authorities explained the blaze began in the ceiling insulation.

French Cops Arrest Ukrainian Squatters From Non-Sanctioned Russian Villa

French police have arrested four Ukrainians who occupied a Russian-owned villa in Nice, changed the access locks and explained their actions were “because of the conflict in Ukraine."

The owners of the villa are reportedly not under sanctions, and are apparently trying to return to France from Russia.

First-Ever Plants Grown From Moon Soil

NASA-funded scientists have successfully grown cress plants in lunar soil, using samples collected from Apollo 11, 12 and 17 missions.

Although the plants’ growth slowed after six days and showed signs of stress, researchers hope the continued study of lunar soil will help in understanding how plants can overcome harsh conditions on Earth.

Latvian Officials Embrace Baltic Sea Becoming “NATO Sea”

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics has said his country approves of Finland and Sweden joining NATO, therefore turning the Baltic Sea into “a NATO sea”.

Rinkevics also called for more NATO troops in Latvia, saying that “the current security situation requires bolder plans by the alliance”.

Russia warned Thursday that if Finland joined NATO, it would pose a direct threat and require a response from Moscow.
