Latvian Officials Embrace Baltic Sea Becoming โ€œNATO Seaโ€

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics has said his country approves of Finland and Sweden joining NATO, therefore turning the Baltic Sea into โ€œa NATO seaโ€.

Rinkevics also called for more NATO troops in Latvia, saying that โ€œthe current security situation requires bolder plans by the allianceโ€.

Russia warned Thursday that if Finland joined NATO, it would pose a direct threat and require a response from Moscow.
