Riot at Jerusalem Funeral Procession for Al Jazeera Journo

According to local media, Israeli security forces with batons began to detain the participants, hitting those carrying the coffin with batons. The number of detainees was not reported.

Al Jazeera accused the Israeli military of a "premeditated killing". It was reported Shireen Abu Akleh was wearing a bulletproof vest and a helmet with the inscription "Press" at the time of her death. The bullet hit her in the head.

The Israel Defense Forces claim that the journalist could have come under fire from the Palestinian military.
