Polish PM Compares Russia to Nazi Germany - says must be treated the same

Mateusz Morawiecki has called the "Russian world" an imperialist ideology in an opinion piece for the UK's Telegraph - comparing Russia to the dangers of Nazi Germany and communism.

He continued that the “deputinization” of Russia must start “immediately,” warning that the Western “soul” would be in peril otherwise.

The Polish PM stopped short of openly calling on NATO to go to war against Russia, but said the West needs to decide where to stop Russia's march towards it.

$40BN Ukraine Aid Package Held Up in Senate

Rand Paul has blocked a rapid senate approval of the massive extra $40 billion Ukraine military aid package by demanding his loyalties lay with the American people, not Ukraine, as he called for closer scrutiny on how the money is spent.

“No matter how sympathetic the cause, my oath of office is to the national security of the USA. We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the US economy,” he explained, highlighting the total spend on Ukraine almost matches Russia’s annual defense budget.

Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who insisted Washington has a “moral obligation” to back Kiev, claimed “all he will accomplish is to single handedly delay desperately needed Ukraine aid.”

Israeli missile strikes activate Syrian air defenses

Israeli missile strikes in the city of Masyaf have left five dead and seven wounded, state media outlet SANA reported on Friday. Air defenses were reportedly activated over the city.

Reports that Israel was targeting a missile production facility have not been confirmed. Video posted to social media shows Syrian air defenses shooting down some of the Israeli missiles.

Initial Moments after Donetsk Shelling which Injured RT Crew Members

Military correspondent Valentin Gorshenin @vgor999 explained that after the missile attack, a truck with gas equipment caught fire:

“Our car was nearby, but the tires were completely flat due to shrapnel. One of the crew urged the others to leave before the gas cylinders and car exploded."

One civilian was killed in the Ukrainian shelling, four others were injured, including RT crew.
