Shanghai Covid Clampdown Cuts Food & Hospital Access

Officials are set to impose even more draconian coronavirus measures in Shanghai, currently in its seventh week of lockdown, with hospital visits to require approval and food deliveries banned.

Social media footage has apparently shown whole buildings of residents rounded up and sent to government quarantine centers, while anyone living in temporary accommodation to avoid being placed in “closed loop management” will be removed.

A video of the WHO’s Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus branding China’s zero-Covid strategy “unsustainable” was shared on Chinese social media Tuesday before censors got to it.

Defense Minister Ben Wallace has revealed the UK is hunting worldwide for old Soviet/Russian weapons and defense systems to send to Ukraine - even competing with Moscow itself for gear.

The US and UK have also reportedly been offering to replace European countries’ outdated Soviet and Russian stockpiles with new Western systems.
