Polish embassy in Moscow smeared with red paint

Unidentified persons poured red paint over a sign on the building of the Polish Embassy in Moscow on Wednesday.

Embassy officials declined to comment on the incident.

Earlier Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry demanded an official apology from Poland in connection with the attack on the Russian ambassador in Warsaw, Sergey Andreyev, which took place on May 9. The diplomat was doused with red syrup during the ceremony at the Soviet Military Cemetery in Warsaw on V-Day.

Polish Ambassador to Moscow Krzysztof Krajewski was summoned to the ministry to receive the apology demand.

Officials are set to impose even more draconian coronavirus measures in Shanghai, currently in its seventh week of lockdown, with hospital visits to require approval and food deliveries banned.

Supermarket Weapons Sweep! UK Bargain Hunting for Old Soviet Gear To Supply Ukraine

Defense Minister Ben Wallace has revealed the UK is hunting worldwide for old Soviet/Russian weapons and defense systems to send to Ukraine - even competing with Moscow itself for gear.

"Sometimes we've bumped into the Russians looking, by the way, in some countries, looking also for some of their resupplies,” he claimed.

The US and UK have also reportedly been offering to replace European countries’ outdated Soviet and Russian stockpiles with new Western systems.
