What does the West really think about the Ukrainian conflict?
RT World News (RSS)

Western leaders are all in, but their citizens have more pressing problems at home, data shows

Whether by sanctions on Moscow or arms deliveries to Kiev, Western leaders have thrown their full support behind Ukraine in response to Russiaโ€™s military operation there. However, as the conflict nears its third month, their citizens are increasingly focused on domestic issues.

43% Americans โ€œOKโ€ With Ukraine Losing Conflict

A new shock (not really a shock) poll has shown that more Americans are OK with Ukraine losing the current conflict (43%) than those who are not (41%) - with more wanting Joe Biden removed from power (53%) than Vladimir Putin (44%).

53% of respondents in the Democracy Institute/Express poll believed the sanctions intended to hit Russia are actually harming the US more, and 63% now think Biden wonโ€™t be reelected in 2024.

Russia is only seen as the 4th biggest threat to the US behind China (42%), Iran (20%) and North Korea (18%).

Priorities skewed?

Portaitissa of Donetsk / 2022
#Donbass #Ukraine

โ€œThis is the Northern Gates of Donetsk. Portaitissa! The front line begins just behind the runway. Perhaps thatโ€™s why most devastation meant for the city was taken by the convent.โ€

The Convent of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Donetsk was hit during the battle for Donetsk airport. Hegumene of the Convent and her aide found themselves caught up in the hostilities. As the convent was practically on the front line, the women became eyewitnesses to the attack on Donetsk airport. They endured firing and shelling, yet they say it was the best time for them. Why?

Watch the film Portaitissa of Donetsk to find the answers.
