No-Deal Brexit Returns? EU Could Cut Up UK Trade

Foreign Sec. Liz Truss has suggested the British govt is prepared to ignore EU deal commitments for trade between Britain and Northern Ireland.

Boris Johnson’s predecessor as PM, Theresa May, warned about “what such a move would say about the United Kingdom and its willingness to abide by treaties...” while Brussels has threatened to rip up the trade deal altogether.

EU nations have been struggling for ways to pay for gas since Russia ordered the currency switch - and not 'circumvent' the European Union's own sanctions.

Italy and Germany - huge consumers of Russian gas - are among those that have switched.
