EU to Go into Debt for Ukraine โ€“ Politico

Brussels is reportedly considering a โ‚ฌ15bn bond emission to finance Ukrainian govt operations for at least 3 months, Politico Europe reported Monday, citing diplomatic sources.

Zelensky told the IMF he needed $7bnn per month ($1 = โ‚ฌ0.95) to pay salaries, pensions and other govt expenditures. The US has pledged to provide a third of that sum for the next three months, with the EU intending to make up the difference.

British Monarch Queen Elizabeth II has โ€˜Mobility Problemsโ€™

Queen Elizabeth did not attend the State Opening of Parliament on Tuesday for the first time in almost 60 years, Buckingham Palace stating her absence was due to โ€œepisodic mobility problems.โ€

The Royal Palace did not elaborate on the nature of the queenโ€™s ailment, but said the decision was made Monday and that the issue was related to another illness she suffered last year.

Prince Charles delivered the Queenโ€™s speech - taking over major constitutional duties of the head of state for the first time, in a move that some British media outlets have already declared unprecedented in the nationโ€™s modern history.
