"Potentially Life-threatening" Blood Clot Fears Lead FDA To Restrict J&J Covid Jab

The FDA have restricted the J&J Covid vaccine to over-18s and advised adults to receive it only if alternatives are unavailable after revealing Thursday that latest studies indicated a risk of "potentially life-force threatening blood clot" risks in younger people.

One FDA director insisted the J&J (also known as Janssen) vaccine "still has a role in the current pandemic response".

The updated directive comes just over a year after the J&J jab rollout was paused over blood clotting fears, before its re-approval was rushed through a week later.
