Abortion rights in US could be repealed – bombshell document reveals

A leaked Supreme Court draft decision has sent shockwaves across the country, revealing abortion rights in the US could become severely restricted.

According to a draft decision published by Politico Monday evening, the highest court in the US has voted to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling on abortion.

The 1973 ruling provided women with the absolute right to abortion in the first trimester and limited rights in the second. The court is expected to publish its final decision in late June or early July.

Overturning Roe v. Wade will immediately allow 22 states where all the necessary judicial preparations have already been made, to outlaw abortion after a few weeks of pregnancy.

Biden comments on Supreme Court abortion leak
RT World News (RSS)

The president has called on Americans to elect pro-choice lawmakers in the midterms

Commenting on reports that the US Supreme Court is preparing to overturn the precedent allowing abortion, President Joe Biden on Tuesday called on Americans to support pro-abortion officials in the coming midterm elections, so Congress can make it a law.

On Monday evening, Politico published a 98-page document suggesting the court is willing to overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade and 1992 Planned Parenthood v. Casey rulings, two precedents that have made abortion legal in the US without an act of Congress. The document, authored by Justice Samuel...

Probe ordered into Roe v. Wade leak
RT World News (RSS)

The staffer who leaked the draft opinion overturning the abortion law “will not succeed” in undermining the Supreme Court’s work, the chief justice wrote

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has ordered the court’s marshal to investigate the source of a leaked draft opinion showing that its justices would imminently strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling. Conservatives suspect that a liberal clerk leaked the document to generate public outcry and force the court to backtrack.

“Yesterday, a news organization published a copy of a draft opinion in a pending case,” Roberts, a conservative, wrote on Tuesday.
