Seized Russian Oligarch Money Should Go “Directly” To Ukraine - US AG
US Attorney General Merrick Garland told Congress Tuesday that he backs repurposing assets seized from sanctioned Russian oligarchs directly to Ukraine.
Garland added he expects requests for legislation changes to make it easier to extract and direct funds from the asset forfeiture fund, where proceeds generated by the asset-seizing “Operation KleptoCapture” are kept.
