Kim Jong-un says Pyongyangโ€™s nukes arenโ€™t limited to defensive use and will be deployed if the country is provoked

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has ratcheted up his nuclear rhetoric, vowing to accelerate development of the countryโ€™s weapons of mass destruction and to deploy them offensively if DPRKโ€™s โ€œfundamental interestsโ€ are violated.

โ€œWe will continue to take measures for further developing the nuclear forces of our state at the fastest possible speed,โ€ North Korean state-run media outlet KCNA quoted Kim as saying at a military parade on Monday night in Pyongy...

NATO Offensive? Conflict Twist sees Series of Explosions Shake Transnistria - Terror Level RED

Rocket launchers were reportedly used to target a major radio station and the security ministry in the pro-Russian region of Transnistria on Monday - with officials raising the terror alert level to red.

Straddled the other side of Ukraine-Moldova border, locals have reported a build-up of Kiev and NATO forces west of the city of Odessa.

In Transnistria's capital, Tiraspol, the military airfield was bombarded by unmanned aerial vehicles, that allegedly used NATO-issued mines. Flightradar data shows the airspace over the area has been closed for some time already.

Russian peacekeepers have been stationed in the breakaway territory for over three decades.

Bezos Wastes Little Time Warning over Musk's Links to China

Jeff Bezos appeared to suggest Elon Musk is beholden to Beijing, asking on Twitter if China has gained some leverage with the Tesla CEO's takeover.

โ€œInteresting question. Did the Chinese government just gain a bit of leverage over the town square?โ€ he asked, citing a post by New York Times reporter Mike Forsythe outlining Muskโ€™s business dealings in China.

The Amazon founder quickly walked back the comment, however, saying the deal with Musk will โ€œprobably notโ€ give China sway over the platform, instead predicting โ€œcomplexity in China for Tesla, rather than censorship at Twitter.โ€

โ€œBut weโ€™ll see. Musk is extremely good at navigating this kind of complexity,โ€ he added.

Despite Bezosโ€™ warnings about Chinese government influence over Western tech firms, his own company fa...

US Turns to Papua New Guinea in Security Battle on Opposite Side of Planet

The US is seeking to expand security cooperation with the Pacific island nation, with Washington concerned of China's security pact with the nearby Solomon Islands.

A US delegation reportedly met the PNG Prime Minister and its defense chiefs last week, with further talks planned for the coming months - Washington calling it "mutual steps."

It comes after America flagged concerns over a possible Chinese base appearing on the Solomon Islands. China responded calling it fake news, adding it's even hypocritical considering the number of bases the US has across the globe.

China said previously the security agreement signed last week does not pose a risk to the United States. China has criticized Australia, which is less than 2,000km away and historically provi...

Natural disasters are spiraling out of control with 1.5 per day expected by 2030, the UN has reported.

Developing nations reportedly suffer disproportionately, spending an average of 1% GDP on annual disaster response - 10 times that of developed countries.

The Red Cross among other groups have urged nations to stop being reactionary and start preventing.

Russia Strike-Ready Around the Clock: Moscow hits back at UK's 'provocation' - giving greenlight for Kiev to fire across border

Russiaโ€™s Ministry of Defense has stated that the UK is directly provoking Kiev to strike against targets inside Russian territory - but warned it will lead to an immediate and proportional response on the capital.

Western advisers "will not necessarily be a problem" for the response of the Russian Armed Forces, the ministry added.

The comments came in response to the UK Under-Secretary of State for Armed Forces claiming Ukraine has a legitimate right to strike military targets on Russian territory to disrupt logistics of Russia's army.
