Natural disasters are spiraling out of control with 1.5 per day expected by 2030, the UN has reported.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warned safeguarding plans are lax, and will push a further 100 million people into poverty by 2030. Developing nations reportedly suffer disproportionately, spending an average of 1% GDP on annual disaster response - 10 times that of developed countries.

The Red Cross among other groups have urged nations to stop being reactionary and start preventing.
