Sergey Lavrov has warned the UN it could be undermined by the likes of the US, which the FM said is seeking to lead policies and remove multilateralism.

Lavrov stressed the importance of meeting with the UN Sec. Gen. in Moscow and thanked him for the talks.

Antonio Guterres said there are two different positions on what's happening in Ukraine. He added "the sooner the war ends, the better," stressing multiple crises around the globe.

Bezos Wastes Little Time Warning over Musk's Links to China

Jeff Bezos appeared to suggest Elon Musk is beholden to Beijing, asking on Twitter if China has gained some leverage with the Tesla CEO's takeover.

“Interesting question. Did the Chinese government just gain a bit of leverage over the town square?” he asked, citing a post by New York Times reporter Mike Forsythe outlining Musk’s business dealings in China.

The Amazon founder quickly walked back the comment, however, saying the deal with Musk will “probably not” give China sway over the platform, instead predicting “complexity in China for Tesla, rather than censorship at Twitter.”

US Turns to Papua New Guinea in Security Battle on Opposite Side of Planet

The US is seeking to expand security cooperation with the Pacific island nation, with Washington concerned of China's security pact with the nearby Solomon Islands.

A US delegation reportedly met the PNG Prime Minister and its defense chiefs last week, with further talks planned for the coming months - Washington calling it "mutual steps."

It comes after America flagged concerns over a possible Chinese base appearing on the Solomon Islands. China responded calling it fake news, adding it's even hypocritical considering the number of bases the US has across the globe.

China said previously the security agreement signed last week does not pose a risk to the United States. China has criticized Australia, which is less than 2,000km away and historically provided policing to the Solomo...

Let’s hope the self-proclaimed ‘free speech absolutist’ lives up to the title

Elon Musk was successful in his bid to take over Twitter. The world’s richest man struck a deal with the company’s board of directors to acquire the platform in its entirety for a cool $44 billion.

Musk first expressed his intent to bring about change to the social media platform after asking his audience what they felt about Twitter’s adherence to free speech principles. With the ongoing censorship of conservative viewpoints, and amid calls from the Biden administration to crack down on so-called ‘Russian disinformation’, the consensus was that...
