โWhen this war is over, we will have to go back to dealing with Russia. We always do,โ โ says former German Chancellor Gerhard Schrรถder.
โYou canโt isolate a country like Russia in the long run, neither politically nor economically. German industry needs the raw materials that Russia has. Itโs not just oil and gas, itโs also rare earths. And these are raw materials that cannot simply be substituted.โ

Greenpeace Block Russian Oil Exports - Chain Themselves to Ship in Norway
Climate activists have chained themselves to a tanker shipping oil from Russia to Norway in protest against the military action in Ukraine.
"Oil is not only at the root of the climate crisis, but also of wars and conflicts. I am shocked that Norway operates as a free port for Russian oil, which we know finances Putin's warfare," commented Frode Pley, head of the Norway branch of Greenpeace.
