UK Allows Gazprombank Gas Payments till end of May
The Treasury has issued a temporary license allowing payments for Russian gas to be made to Gazprombank - which the UK, but not the EU, has sanctioned - until the end of May.
Moscow had demanded that Russian gas buyers open ruble and foreign currency accounts with Gazprombank or face a halt in supply. April bills are due to be settled next month.

The DPRK leader has thanked outgoing President Moon Jae-in for his “historic” work to improve the relations between the two neighbors.
“Kim Jong-un appreciated the pains and effort taken by Moon Jae-in for the great cause of the nation until the last days of his term of office,” Pyongyang’s state-run Korean Central News Agency reported. “The exchange of the personal letters between the top leaders of the North and the South is an expression of their deep trust”.
Moon steps down next month to be replaced by conservative president-elect Yoon Suk-yeol, who has signaled that he will take a tougher line on North Korea.

The soldier reportedly drowned early Friday in the Rio Grande river while attempting to save migrants struggling with swift currents as they crossed the border. (Fox News)
