โšก๏ธโ€˜Talks Stallโ€™: Russian FM Addresses Diplomatic Standstill around Ukraine

Sergey Lavrov has said talks with Ukraine have ground to a halt, claiming that Kievโ€™s โ€œunresponsivenessโ€ is a major factor.

The Russian Foreign Minister added the Zelensky admin has outright ignored Moscowโ€™s latest proposals. Despite that, Lavrov added Russia is ready to approve some of the Kiev-proposed conditions, such as the list of nation-guarantors for Ukraineโ€™s sovereignty.

The minister also responded to comments from Kiev about the capture of Mariupol being potentially irreversible for the ongoing diplomatic effort between Kiev and Moscow.

โ€œWe donโ€™t accept any ultimatums,โ€ Lavrov said.

'If they find us here, we'll be punished': RT report on 'secret schools' for girls in Afghanistan
RT World News (RSS)

How female education works under Taliban rule

โ€œThere is an underground project in Kabul called โ€˜Course in memoir writing for wounded girls.โ€™ Would you be interested to see it?โ€ I was asked last week.

These days, education for girls is probably the most ambiguous topic of Afghanistanโ€™s new era. The Taliban is to some extent demonstrating its commitment to a medieval approach to womenโ€™s rights but is nevertheless inclined to compromise. Primary schools remain open, as do universities, though male and female students attend lectures separately, and the number...

Assange order shows โ€œhypocritical natureโ€ of US โ€“ China
RT World News (RSS)

Foreign ministry spokesperson said the US has presented the true face of its โ€˜freedom of speech and the pressโ€™

Chinaโ€™s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hit out against the order to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to the US, issued by a UK court earlier this week, saying that it represents the hypocritical nature of the US government.

โ€œThis is the true face of the US 'freedom of speech and the press.' The extradition of Assange to the US can lay bare the hypocritical nature of the US government better than the WikiLeaks revelations,โ€ said Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang W...

The international body says it hasnโ€™t documented associated patterns during the Ukrainian crisis

The UN has refused to back accusations by Kiev and Washington that Russiaโ€™s actions during its military operation in Ukraine amounted to genocide.

Ravina Shamdasani, the spokesperson for UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), was addressed on the issue by journalists on Friday.

โ€œNo, we have not documented patterns that could amount to [genocide]," she responded.

Shamdasani pointed out there were...

This tiny island nation proves that the West only believes in its own โ€˜spheres of influenceโ€™
RT World News (RSS)

Australia and the US believe the Solomon Islands must not be allowed to partner up with China, showing a selective respect for self-determination

Russia is bad. There is no excuse for invading Ukraine, and the argument that it was a strategic imperative to stop NATOโ€™s encroachment is just propaganda, right? Thatโ€™s what every source in the mainstream media will tell you. But oddly enough, that logic never seems to apply when western countries perceive rival states to be encroaching on their own peripheries, and thereโ€™s been no bigger example of that than as to...
