Israel has hit two targets, including a Hamas weapons factory in the Gaza strip, in an apparent retaliation for an attack on the Israeli town of Sderot from the Palestinian enclave.

Belgium: State TV 'Sorry' for Holocaust Joke

Belgian broadcaster VRT has apologized for a Schindler's List parody which ridiculed locals complaining about food shortages. Jewish groups complained about the media mocking a popular cookie being out of stock, with a concentration camp scene from the movie.

“Humor and satire should be allowed in our programming but it must never be the intention to hurt the feelings of others or laugh at their suffering,” VRT said in a statement on Monday evening. “We recognize that this did happen here, we wish to express our heartfelt apologies.”

Crypto Giant Debuts ‘Swastika-Like’ Emoji on Hitler’s Birthday

Exchange platform Binance briefly launched a new Twitter emoji, which many have said resembled the Nazi Germany Swastika.

Public perception was not helped by the fact that the new symbol for Binance’s hashtags on the platform was apparently rolled out on the birthday of a certain Adolf Hitler.

“Well that was obviously really embarrassing,” Binance later tweeted. “We’re not sure how that emoji got through several layers of review without anyone noticing, but we immediately flagged the issue, pulled it down, and the new emoji design is being rolled out as we speak.”

New Yorkers protest Israeli occupation of Palestine in a mass rally

Hundreds of rallied outside the Israeli consulate in New York City to denounce Palestinian occupation.

The local Jewish Orthodox community took an active part in the protest.

"We have a nice group of religious Jewish people from New York bringing the voice of Jewish people opposition to the ongoing occupation of Palestine", Rabbi David Feldman, who participated in the demonstration, said.
