Trump Blasts 'Deceptively Edited' Interview Clip

Donald Trump has called out host Piers Morgan for releasing a “deceptively edited” interview trailer, as well as alleging in the New York Post that the former president abruptly ended their conversation.

Trump has released an audio recording which appears to refute Morgan’s claim that the former president ended the interview by “abruptly jumping to his feet, looking hateful, and barking at the shocked crew”.

Trump’s spokesman described the incident to NBC as “a pathetic attempt to use President Trump as a way to revive the career of a failed television host.”

The UK House of Commons voted unanimously on Thursday to investigate UK premier Boris Johnson over allegations that he “misled” Parliament. The inquiry concerns statements he made in December about illegal Downing Street parties that flouted pandemic-era lockdown rules.

Convention holds that if a UK prime minister is found to have “misled” Parliament, he will be expected to step down.

Johnson’s fellow Conservatives were given a “free vote,” meaning instructed to vote with their conscience, or not at all, on w...

Belgium: State TV 'Sorry' for Holocaust Joke

Belgian broadcaster VRT has apologized for a Schindler's List parody which ridiculed locals complaining about food shortages. Jewish groups complained about the media mocking a popular cookie being out of stock, with a concentration camp scene from the movie.

“Humor and satire should be allowed in our programming but it must never be the intention to hurt the feelings of others or laugh at their suffering,” VRT said in a statement on Monday evening. “We recognize that this did happen here, we wish to express our heartfelt apologies.”

Metaverse Offers Eternal Life in Weird Black Mirror Update - Once it collects all your data!

Somnium Space, which operates a persistent social VR environment, offers its users a new paid “live forever” mode. The company says it can recreate a deceased person in the metaverse - using a large amount of personal data.

“Literally, if I die—and I have this data collected—people can come or my kids, they can come in, and they can have a conversation with my avatar, with my movements, with my voice,” CEO Artur Sychov told Vice. “You will meet the person. And you would maybe for the first 10 minutes while talking to that person, you would not know that it’s actually AI. That’s the goal.”

The first phase of testing the feature is scheduled to begin next year. We are not sure... if that means... you have to....
