Tesla & Manufacturing Giants Reopen Shanghai Facilities - as City Reels from Covid Lockdown

A grand reopening of factories in Shanghai is taking place as the megacity rushes to exit lockdown, which has forced most businesses to close for three weeks.

Tesla has reportedly recalled workers to its local facility, in preparation for the eventual relaunch of operations. (Reuters)

Previously, Shanghai authorities tried to assure firms that they could remain open, if they managed to isolate their workers according to protocol. That apparently proved unfeasible, as many companies, including Tesla and Volkswagen, shut their plants on April 1.

Israeli Security Forces' Third Raid of Al-Aqsa since Ramadan

Israeli authorities have stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, clearing out Muslims to allow Jewish worshippers to celebrate Passover.

Cops reportedly fired rubber bullets and even impeded medics from working properly. Footage appears to show one officer brutally smashing one woman in the stomach with a truncheon.

The joint Palestinian-Jordanian Islamic Waqf claims Jewish settlers have been forcibly allowed to turf out Muslims from the holy site, sparking Jordanโ€™s FM to summon the Israeli envoy in Amman to demand an โ€œimmediate stop in violationsโ€.

The country is no place for foreign parties to settle scores, Baghdad outlined

Turkey's invasion of Iraq is โ€œa violation of its sovereignty and the sanctity of the countryโ€ that goes against the concept of being a good neighbor, Baghdad's foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday. Ankara launched a new military campaign against Kurdish forces in the north of the Middle Eastern state on Sunday evening.
