Iran Threatens Strike at Heart of Israel if “Slightest Move” made against Tehran

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has warned his armed forces will hit the "heart of the Zionist regime” during a military parade - if moves are made against Tehran.

Israeli PM Naftali Bennett reiterated the Mossad’s key task is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities - as fears grow over alleged plans to manufacture advanced centrifuges to produce enriched uranium much faster.

Vienna talks aimed at reviving the 2015 nuclear deal have been suspended after almost a year of on-off negotiations, with Israel insisting it will not be bound by a potential deal anyway.

Turkey Launches Operation in Iraq

Turkey has begun a major cross-border military offensive, targeting Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militants in the northern part of Iraq.

The operation involves an extensive airstrike campaign using jets, helicopters, and drones, as well as a ground incursion by commando troops, the ministry has announced.

Ankara claims it successfully destroyed multiple bunkers, tunnels, and ammunition depots, as well as military headquarters of the PKK in northern Iraq’s border areas of Metina, Zap, and Avashin-Basyan, before ground forces moved into the neighboring state. It's unclear how many troops and military hardware are involved in the operation.

North Korea Tests New “Tactical Nukes” System

North Korean state media announced the country’s latest weapons tests on Sunday to cap celebrations in honor of late leader Kim Il-Sung, one day before US-South Korea military exercises were due to begin.

Seoul's military leaders detected two projectile launches late Sunday that flew 110km at 25km altitude at Mach 4 speed, apparently signifying a new short-range ballistic missile.

Kim Jong-Un reportedly attended the launch of a short-range missile for the first time in 2 years, having instructed his country to develop smaller, lighter and more advanced nuclear technology in last January’s party congress.

❗️SpaceX Launches Spy Satellite

The US National Reconnaissance Office has sent a classified payload on a previously used rocket for the first time.

Private aerospace firm SpaceX successfully launched a US spy satellite into orbit, deploying a used Falcon 9 rocket to carry its payload into space.

The mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California used the recycled rocket which sent a NRO satellite up in February.

Seven Russian banks will join digital ruble testing in the coming months

According to the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, in the coming months, in addition to 5 banks testing digital ruble payments from January 2022, seven more banks will join.

The Central Bank of Russia, together with other banks, is testing the issuance of digital rubles, the opening of digital wallets for citizens, as well as transfers between them.

Earlier, the Central Bank reported that the testing group included 12 banks, namely Sberbank, VTB Bank, Gazprombank, Alfa-Bank, DOM.RF Bank, Rosbank, Promsvyazbank, Tinkoff Bank, SKB-Bank, Ak Bars Bank, Transcapitalbank and Bank Soyuz.
