Shanghai carries out mass testing amid China's latest COVID-19 outbreak

Chinese authorities carried out mass testing in Shanghai after the city broke a new record in COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic.

Residents could be seen queuing for makeshift test stations set across the city right outside the condominiums.

The number of local COVID-19 infections in Shanghai exceeded 23,000 on 14 April.
