The allegations concern a lab in the Ukrainian city of Merefa, claiming that American scientists carried out harmful experiments between 2019 and 2021 - using patients from a nearby psychiatric hospital as subjects.
According to the ministryโs report, the research team tested โpotentially dangerous biological preparationsโ on the subjects, kept no records, and made staff sign non-disclosure agreements. Spanish Hotels Turn Away Russian Tourists
The chain RIU Hotels & Resorts is reportedly turning away tourists over the conflict, according to the Russian Association of Tour Operators.
No new bookings are being accepted, however, those who have already paid for their stay will still be able to use their accommodation.
The company also restricted access to their website for Russian users.

Portugalโs Central Bank Issues First Crypto License
Banco de Portugal has issued the countryโs first crypto license to an entity owned by a bank, allowing Bison Bank to act as a Virtual Asset Service Provider.
This means the Hong Kong-based private capital group will be able to offer custodian and crypto trading services. The move follows the first-ever full VASP license issued last month to Portugal-based crypto payments firm Utrust, and three exchanges given licenses last summer.
