Turkey Declines to Join Russia Sanctions

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has declared that Ankara will not join the sanctions some its NATO allies have imposed on Russia.

"We believe that the sanctions will not resolve the problem," he told journalists.

Turkeyโ€™s decision seems to go against the the general NATO sentiment, whose Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that all members of the alliance were expected to sanction Russia.

Jerusalem Chaos: Over 100 Wounded in Al-Aqsa Clashes

117 Palestinian protesters were taken to hospital after Israeli police reacted to โ€œdozens of masked menโ€ marching towards Jerusalemโ€™s Al-Aqsa mosque on Friday morning - as Christian, Jewish and Muslim festivals overlap.

According to Palestinian Red Crescent workers, dozens more were injured as cops fired rubber bullets and sound grenades after being pelted with stones.

The violent flashpoint comes after three Palestinians were killed during Israeli raids in the West Bank, following a wave of terror in the last few weeks that left 14 Israelis dead.
