BoJo Should GO: Over half in UK want PM to resign (poll)

A YouGov poll held Tuesday found 57% of Britons think PM Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak should resign after being handed fines for breaching lockdown restrictions last year.

Johnson is the first sitting UK PM to have been found guilty of breaking the law, but he and Sunak have so far refused to stand down despite both having flat-out denied they attended the parties.

โ€œIt didnโ€™t occur to me that this might be breaking the rules,โ€ said the man who set them in the first place.

Japan AUKUS recruitment FAKE NEWS - Tokyo denies membership offer reports

Japanese newspaper Sankei Shimbun has reported that Tokyo has been informally offered a place within the new AUKUS military bloc citing unnamed govt officials, but Chief Cabinet Sec Hirokazu Matsuno has denied the claims.

Japan is reportedly developing two types of hypersonic weapons and a railgun hypersonic missile defense system, which the paper claims is the main motivation for Canberra, Washington and London to bring Tokyo to the table.

Japanese law restricts it to using nuclear energy for peaceful means though, which would rule it out from developing nuclear submarines were it to join โ€œJAUKUSโ€.
