Russia BANS Western NGOs

Russia has ordered shut more than a dozen local branches of nonprofits, foundations and other NGOs based in the West, saying they have violated Russian law.

Among the organizations affected are Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace, and several German and Polish NGOs.

The Justice Ministry in Moscow announced on Friday that it will be removing from the registry fifteen Russian branches of organizations based in the US, UK, Germany, and Poland, citing โ€œidentified violations of Russian law.โ€

The price of politics: What will happen if the West really abandons Russian gas?
RT World News (RSS)

Western Europe and Russia alike will be affected if the energy flow stops

On April 2, Lithuania became the first EU country to declare that it was completely abandoning Russian gas. The announcement was made amidst Moscow's ongoing military assault in Ukraine and came after the Kremlin announced a new payment procedure for countries deemed โ€œunfriendly."

RT World News (RSS)

Using disinformation to thwart an enemy is one thing. Spreading it to your own public and policymakers is another

The US intelligence community has long claimed that integrity in the search for truth was its core value. In March 1992, Robert Gates, who at that time was serving as director of Central Intelligence, addressed the CIAโ€™s analytical community on the issue of politicized intelligence....

Former US President Bill Clinton says he told the Russian leadership that Moscow could one day join NATO. Clinton said he brought this point before the late Boris Yeltsin, who governed Russia between 1991 and 1999, and then before President Vladimir Putin.

โ€œWe left the door open for Russiaโ€™s eventual membership in NATO, something I made clear to Yeltsin and later confirmed to his successor, Vladimir Putin,โ€ the former US president wrote in an op-ed published in The Atlantic on...

Pakistanโ€™s Khan says he wonโ€™t accept โ€˜imported governmentโ€™

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has accused opposition leaders of seeking to install an โ€œimported government,โ€ saying he would not tolerate foreign meddling after the countryโ€™s highest court ruled that the PM must face a no-confidence vote.

Speaking during an address late Friday night, Khan again took aim at his political opponents, suggesting the upcoming vote is part of a conspiracy to remove him from office backed by external powers.

โ€œI will not accept an imported government, and I am determined to vehemently agitate against it,โ€ he said, adding that he is โ€œready for a struggle,โ€ while urging supporters to hold protests in his favor over the weekend.
