Shanghai DESPERATION as Covid lockdown food shortages strike
Draconian Covid lockdown measures are reportedly tightening their grip on food, medicine and other essential supplies in Shanghai, according to reports emerging via social media.
Even medical volunteers drafted in to carry out the cityโs massive testing drive have complained of a lack of food.
Shanghai officials had promised the severe city-wide lockdown would end by 5 April, but extended it indefinitely after cases continued rising; on Friday alone, 20,398 new cases were reported.
