US Warship Illegally Enters Chinese Waters โ€” Beijing

China said on Thursday that it had to drive away a US destroyer that illegally entered waters around the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.

The Pentagon disputed the Chinese militaryโ€™s statement, saying its USS Milieus is conducting "routine operations" in the area and was not expelled.

"The United States will continue to fly, sail, and operate wherever international law allows," the statement by the US Navy added.

The bill to create the referendum on the creation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice committee will be lodged next week, with the government hoping to pass it by Juneโ€™s end.

How Soviet armored trains helped defeat Nazi Germany

The outbreak of war came as a real nightmare for Soviet armored trains, which frequently had to cover the withdrawal of Red Army units single-handedly. If the enemy managed to sever the railway line, the armored train was doomed. It was either destroyed or blown up by its own crew.

With the turning of the tide in the war, the โ€œfortresses on wheelsโ€ were transformed from desperate โ€œsuicide trainsโ€ into a solid back-up for Soviet troops as they swept westwards.
One elusive Soviet armored train caused the Germans so much trouble that they dubbed it the โ€˜Green Ghostโ€™.

NATO Member Admits It Has Exhausted All Means Of Arming Ukraine

The Czech Republic has already done everything it can to help Ukraine in its conflict with Russia, President Petr Pavel has said. โ€œWe have not only delivered what we could from our own stocks, but also bought material abroad,โ€ Pavel said on Wednesday.

The Czech Republic is still capable of producing some air defenses and ammunition that Ukraine needs, but the nationโ€™s capacity to produce more ammunition is limited due to "workforce shortages," he added.

"But there are opportunities, for example, through [bringing in] workers from Ukraine,โ€ Pavel explained.

Russia says US blocking Nord Steam probe
RT World News (RSS)

Washingtonโ€™s denial of any involvement in bombing the pipelines is โ€œnot trustworthy,โ€ Moscow said
