US Warship Illegally Enters Chinese Waters โ Beijing
China said on Thursday that it had to drive away a US destroyer that illegally entered waters around the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea.
The Pentagon disputed the Chinese militaryโs statement, saying its USS Milieus is conducting "routine operations" in the area and was not expelled.
"The United States will continue to fly, sail, and operate wherever international law allows," the statement by the US Navy added.
